The New Zealand open motorcycle grand prix champion, Paul McLachlan, of Christchurch now hopes to make hlfc attempt on. the New Zealand lahd speed record ..dither next Saturday or the one "after. Bad weather forked him to postone his atteftipt on the South Eyre Road, about 30km from Christchurch, on Saturday morning. “I would have been prepared Ito try in spite of the drizzle,” McLachlan said. “It was the wind which . stopped me." McLichlan, who has lowered his T 25750 Yamaha racer and fitted it with a special, fairing, is aiming for 330km/h.
