Rural mail
PA Wellington The Government would fulfill its election promise to extend the rural mail service to ensure a fiveday service for all but the most isolated box holders, Parliament was told yesterday. The Postmaster-General (Mr Wilkinson), answering a question from Mr B. G. Barclay (Lab., Christchurch Central), said that an announcement on this would soon be made.
