PA Auckland Tattooed ladies may benefit from the closing of the Auckland Hospital Board’s abortion clinic. The removal of tattoos | is one of the operations likely to receive priority at the clinic’s Epsom hospital since the resignation of the abortion operating surgeon. Efforts to obtain another abortion sugeon so far have failed. The board’s legal and finance committee. wor» ried that the hospital would be left idle authorised its superintendent in chief, (Dr R. F. Moody) to prepare it for dual use as a day hospital. Dr Moody said 98 women were awaiting »urgery to remove tattoos.
