Bermadez in Cup
NZPA Brisbane The New Zealand stayer, Bermadez, has been confirmed as a Doomben Cup entry. Bermadez, a close third to Muros in the Brisbane Cup, was not listed as a Doomben Cup entrant when nominations closed. The Brisbane Amateur Turf Club allowed the entry of Bertnadez when a nomination form arrived from the Waikato Turf Club showing April 21 as the nomination date. Jockey David Peake is likely to travel from New Zealand to ride Bermadez in the Doomben CU p P ea k e, New Zealand’s leading rider, is considering an Australian retaining offer.
