Gooch recalled
NZPA-Reuter London The Essex opening batsman, Graham Gooch, has been recalled to the England cricket team for the second test against Pakistan at Lord’s, starting on Friday I after a three-year absence.
Gooch replaces Lancashire’s Barry Wood. The England squad is: Mike Brearley (captain), Graham Gooch, Clive Radley, David Gower, Graham Roope, Geoff Miller, lan Botham, Chris Old, Phil Edmonds, Bob Taylor, Bob Willis, Mike Hendrick.
