Kevin Holmes buys five
From G. K. YULE Nelson The Cambridge trainer, Kevin Holmes had a busy day at Nelson yesterday completing the purchase of five horses, Falcon Ridge. Hurricane Royal, Aldomet, All Trouble and Holy Dan, all of which are expected to race at the Marlborough meeting tomorrow.
Holmes will be doing much travelling in the next few days. He returned to Wellington last night and will be back in Blenheim today. After driving at the Marlborough meeting he will go to his home town, Christ-
[Church, and he will drive at the Rangiora meeting on Saturday. Among the horses he expects to drive is Saben. a two-year-old owned by his father. Allan Holmes, and trained by Peter Yeatman
He will attend the Auckland meeting on Saturday night and leave the next day on his way back to the United States. Trevor Thomas will be in Auckland with Genesis on Saturday and Jaunty Hanover will be driven in the Ra ngiora Winter Cup by Ted Lowe. Robert Cameron has been engaged for Bad Luck in the same race.
