Bastion Point
Sir, — I would like to ask David Anderson (June 9) just how naive he thinks New Zealanders are. Mr Muldoon could never be blamed for hiding behind scare methods, etc. He has been one of the really honest men of late to Come out and state, point blank, his views. We now have communism creeping in from many angles and we need more forthright politicians like Mr Muldoon to fight this scourge. I was once apathetic, like a
frighteningly large percentage of New Zealanders. Then I read about communism and what I found gave me a kick in the right area. Mr Muldoon is right. ■ — Yours, etc., N. E. HERBERT, June 9, 1978.
