Advice bureaux get differing inquiries
A total of 1111 inquiries . were mad§ to Citizens Ad- . vice Bureaux in the : Canterbury eara in May. The bureaux reported that the high figures did ■ not reveal in its categories I the very wide range Of ; subjects covered. Those ranged from simple requests for information to quite complex personal or financial problems. (Figuring prominently were inquiries related to the renting or leasing of property, difficulties re-
suiting from purchases of cars, amf complaints about overcharging for repairs or services of various kinds There were 93 ca ls on legal matters, a namber of these the Bureaux said were about the availabilifv of the free legal advice service. Again females dominated the number of calla at 820. Inquries in the Christchurch District were 65 4 per cent and Waimairi was next with 13 per cent.
