| Canterbury’s rugby league ;B team could fashion an unbeaten record in the first South Island second division interprovincial championship this winter. In spite of having only limited preparation under the astute coaching of Randal Turton, Canterbury B provided spirited opposition to a talented championshipwinning South Sydney under-21 team last Monday, j All but two of the late replacements, Chris Charlton ’(Marist-Western Suburbs) [and Tommy Lightfoot (Linjwood), have been retained in jthe smaller squad announced | yesterday to meet Otago at Dunedin on June 17. Two ; others will be added after tomorrow’s round of club fixtures. The policy of not choosing any players with previous 'experience for Canterbury A 'has been continued. Most members of the side have the enthusiasm, youth and basic skills to advance their football careers to higher levels. The draw for the second division championship is.— June 17, Canterbury B v. Otago at Dunedin; Marlbor[ough v. West Coast B at Blenheim: July 29, Marlborough v. Otago at Blenheim; July 30, West Coast B v. Canterbury B at Greymouth; August 19, West Coast B v.
