The College offers programmes of study to degree status in Teacher Education, Business and Administrative Studies, and Liberal and Applied Arts to a current enrolment of 3600 students. Applications are invited for the position of LECTURER IN SPECIAL EDUCATION Applicants should have interests in the evolving resource teacher model of special education, or in teaching in special schools for the moderately/severely retarded. Particular skills in evaluation/diagnosis of children’s attainments from a comparative developmental viewpoint and the use of applied behaviour analysis techniques in promoting behavioural change would be an advantage. The appointee will work with full-time students in pre-service teacher education courses (early childhood, primary, secondary) and/or practising teachers proceeding by external (offcampus) studies to a specialist qualification.
