Sunnv April sent more day-tripping
TTiis year’s extended summer seems to have put extra dollars in the pocket of the Diamond Harbour ferry service. In a report to the Lyttelton Borough Council the launchmaster (Mr P. W. Vandenburg) said total revenue for April was up 5230 on April, 1977. He said there had been a marked increase in the number of charter trips — 29 in all — although Christchurch Transport Board harbour cruises had continued to decline.
