Tower has a great fall

The olti Resthaven “onion tower” took a towering fall at the week-end. It collapsed when being removed for its new owner, Mrs B. W. Wright 'of Cashmere.

The “egg cup” part on the bottom “had had it,” Mrs Wright said. She hoped that the top round , tower could be repaired, “but the egg cup can’t.” The spire was also saved.

The tower had apparently not been lifted into piace when the house was built, and an attempt to lift off the top failed.
