Women’s list to be compiled
PA Wellington Five women’s groups are to set up a file of the names and curriculum vitae of women suitable and prepared to serve on statutory bodies. The groups are the National Council of Women, the Federation of University Women, the Women’s Electoral Lobby, the Society for Research on Women., and the Committee on Women. The executive officer of the Committee on Women, Ms Nicola Hill, said money would be put towards the project from the Christ-1 church United Women’s Convention, which had suggested establishing the file. Ms Hill said a selection group would be. formed from members of the five organ-! isations as well as a member! from the Christchurch group' which had compiled the! booklet, “A Guide to Getting On.”
