Kangas just win rules
Fitness proved a vital factor when the Kangas won I their Australian Rule; match against Avon by 65 points (nine goals. 11 behindst to 60 (8, 12) at Cuthberts Green yesterday. The Kangas, in a typically late charge, kicked five goals in the final quarter and thr i winning one was achieved with the final kick of the day. Charlie Hawkins (3). Lyle Arthur (2). Tony Wall (2>. Tony Byron and Eric Tonkin were the goal-scorers for the Kangas while Terry Daniels (3). Peter Marshall (2), Jerry ! Willis (2) and Gary Gardiner scored for Avon. The best players were Arithur, Hawkins and Petei Prince for the winner and Gary Proud. Daniels and Kevin Doyle for Avon.
