Pole vault mark falls
NZPA Corvallis, Oregon
Mike Tully of the United States, broke the world pole vault record on Saturday when he cleared 5.71 m.
The 21-year-old Californian student raised by Icm the previous world best of 5.70 m set by his compatriot. Dave Roberts, in June, 1976.
