Hut burgled
Building and surveying equipment valued at about $3OOO was stolen from a building site in Upper Riccarton early yesterday. Thieves escaped with the gear after forcing the door of a shed owned by Research Builders, Ltd, in Annex Road. The articles included small motors, two theodolites, hydraulic drills, and a quantity of building tools. Christchurch detectives are also investigating the theft of hams, bacon, and other smallgoods valued at $4OO from a refrigerated truck parked at Hutton’s, Ltd, at 101 Moorhouse Avenue.
