Sydney trip bonus from fun run
John Smart, of the University Harrier Club, holds up the ticket for the Air New Zealand holiday for
two in Sydney he won after “The Press” Park-to* Park fun run yesterday morning. Mr Smart’s run-card was drawn from more than 4000 by Mr Tony Saville, president of the Air New Zealand Joggers’ Club. Each official entrant
was entitled to take part in the draw, and the event this year drew more than twice as many as last
year’s. Though Mr Smart won the trip, his 10-day-old baby’s nappies won the race for the hot water, and he had the chance to dampen his excitement under a cold shower when he arrived home. (Run report, Page 271.
