Loch Linnhe retired

Loch Linnhe has finished racing, and is to spend the rest of his days in Canterbury on the farm of Mrs Mary Dailey. Mrs Dalfey is a daughter of the late Mr W. E. Hazlett, in whose colours Loch Linnhe won two Great Northern Steeplechases, and the New Zealand and Australian Grand National Steeples. Loch Linnhe’s retirement from racing was announced earlier this week by the Cambridge trainer. Jack Winder. Winder said there was nothing wrong with the Lomond gelding, but he had noted some wear and tear, and thought there would be some risk of a breakdown under the weights the horse would have to carry this winter.
