Bohl Apepa for Alex. Park
PA Auckland One of Australia’s best trotters, Bold Apcpa, has been entered for the Bowe Cup and other races at Alexandra Park next month. His connections have rung the Auckland Trotting Club to confirm he would be a “definite starter” if suitable transport could be arranged. The A.T.C. secretary, Mr J. F. Patterson, said nominations for the Rowe Cup meeting were streaming in from all parts of the country. “There looks like being strong South Island representation, which we are very pleased about,’’ he said. Bold Apepa is ranked the best trotter in Australia after the champion Maori’s Idol. He was second in each of his two qualifying heats and runner-up to Derby Royale in the final at the Inter-Dominion series recently at Moonee Valley. With Maori’s Idol out of the way, he won a free-for-all from Derby Royale on the last night of the Championships. Derby Royale again finished second when Bold Apepa won at Moonee Valley last weekend.
Bold Apepa is a seven-year-old
gelding by Apepa from Bold Scott. He is owned by Messrs W. H. Robinson and W. J. Dixon and trained by Mr Robinson.
