F. H. Plunkett nominated

Mr F. H. Plunkett, of Winton, is to be nominated by the Winton Jockey Club as a member of the New Zealand Racing Authority. A past president, and a member of the committee of the Winton Jockey Club for 29 years, he has represented the club on the New Zealand Racing Conference for 20 years and on the District Committee for a similar term.
Mr Plunkett has been chairman of the Southland Race Filming Company, chairman of the Southland Racecourse Amenities Company and a member of the Southland Totalisator Committee.
He has been a committee member of the Southland Racing Club, President of the Birchwood Hunt for some years and President of the N.Z. Hunt’s Association for the past three years. He has also been chairman of the Southland Racing Judicial Panel and has served as an appeal judge for the Racing Conference. He was a member of the Committee of Inquiry appointed by the Racing Conference in 1960. Mr Plunkett has not only been associated with racing in the Winton district for many years but at national level he has been a keen and I conscientious administrator! of long standing.
