Kiwis lead Aust. rally
NZPA Brisbane. Two New Zealanders were leading the 400 cars competing in the Caltex International vintage and veteran motor rally an Saturday. The rally, which started In Sydney on April 8. reached Murwillumbah, in northern New South Wales, without incident on Saturday on their way to Queensland.
Th* New Zealand driver, i-ou Bade, was leading the rally in a 1922 Sunbeam, with a loss of only 15 points. A compatriot. Col Pearce, drying a 1911 Sunbeam, was in second place, having lost 19 points. The rally will finish next weekend on the Gold Coast after following a route inland through the Darting Downs.
