Record for N.Z. yacht?
PA New Plymouth. The Auckland yacht Yentraccam (John McCartney) was expected to cross the finish line early today to win the solo yacht race from New Plymouth to Moolooaloa, Queensland, in record time. The latest report from Queensland said that Yentraccam was just ahead of the Australian entries. Breakaway (Peter Mounsey) and Marls (lan Kiernan). If Yentraccam’s expected arrival time is correct she will break the record time of nine davs five hours for the race set in 1970 bv the American. Marvin Glenn, in the big trimaran Rebel. Mounsey and Kiernan also have a chance of breaking the record.
