Rams win rules
The Christchurch Rams, playing their first game of the season, turned on a impressive display of Australian Rules football when they thrashed the Brighton Kangas 109 (15 goals, 19 behinds) to 26 (3, 8) at Wainoni Park yesterday. Mark O’Sullivan, John Ross, Barry Williams and Andrew Padley were judged the best players for the
Rams while Graham Pye, Angelo de Pace and Lyle Arthur got the votes for the Kangas. O’Sullivan (3), T. Fitzgerald (3), R. Gaunt (3), Padley (2), P. Nixon (2), Williams and Jason Adams scored goals for the Rams. Goals for the Kangas were kicked by Charles Hawkins. John Hickey and Andrew Ashton.
