Forecast: Canterbury. Light or moderate winds, mainly southerly; cloudy, with occasional rain but some fair periods, especially inland in the south; cool.
Marlborough, Nelson: Moders ate or fresh winds, southerlies about Marlborough and north-east, to east about Nelson; cloudy, with periods of rain, some fall? heavy; cool. Buller, Westland: Light winds mainly from the easterly quarter; cloudy with periods of rain, clearing slowly from the south; moderate to mild tempera* tures. outlook: Unsettled in Canterbury and Marlborough; fair on the West Coast and becoming fair in Nelson.
