Industrials, and miners given a boost

Export-incentives, and the: improved March capital j inflow into the country provided a boost for many industrial and mining stocks traded on Australian markets yesterday. 8.H.P., gained 8c to 628 c after being traded at a high of 632 c early in the afternoon, before the report of an increased final dividend.

The banking, retailing, and building sections improved. The speculative stock of the week, Atherton Antimony, fell 11c to 47c on a turnover of over 340,000. Central Pacific closed at a steady 460 c but Southern Pacific lost 5c to 170 c.

The overnight gold price and London metals prices falls had little effect on miners.

Western Mining rose 3c to 128 c, C.R.A. was up 4c to 220 c, M.I.M. gained a cent to 192 c and Bougainville rose 2c to 112 c. Woodside rose 3c to 81c
