Libel move declined
PA Auckland An application for leave to proceed with a criminal libel action against the editor of the “Dominion” newspaper, Mr J. A. Kelleher, was declined by Mr D. I. N. Maclean, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland The application was made by Donovan John Citizen McGrath, described as an author, psychic, and journalist, of Vermont Street, Ponsonby, in connection with an article about the death of a baby in a car in Sydney last year. The Magistrate said he was not satisfied that notice of the action had been served on Mr Kelleher and he could not proceed until notice was served.
