Arrest after shots fired
A man was arrested early yesterday morning after an incident in which two shots were fired from a rifle at a traffic officer’s car in the New Brighton area on Saturday evening. The armed offenders
squad was called out after the shots were heard. Nobody was injured. A rifle was recovered from the Avon River at 12.80 p.m. yesterday. The man will appear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning.
