• Mr R. M. Gyde, aged 49. a I credit union trustee, who I has been named the Social Credit candidate for Christchurch Central in this year’s General Election. Mr Gyde, who is married and has' two children, was formerly a joiner-builder for 16 years after working in glasshouse horticulture for 14 years. He has been secretary of the party’s Sydenham electorate branch in previous elections.
