Rangitikei by-election
Sir, — I wonder what happened to the editor’s memory when he wrote the leading article on the Rangitikei byelection on Monday, February 20. He refers to the policy of Social Credit as compared to National and Labour. Does he not remember that Social Credit policy got Njw Zealand out of the 1935 depression two years ahead of any other country? That same policy will work today. Anyone who is unemployed, with a family to keep, or with children or grandchildren in this degrading predicament would have great cause to question the Government’s policies. It is obvious that these policies are just not working, or we would not have so many thousands out of work. ■— Yours, etc.. R, M. GYDE. February 20, 1978.
