Most cars across
PA Wellington Only cars with no bookings for Cook Strait crossings remained at the rail ferry terminal in Wellington yesterday. By late last evening the Railways Department expected to have moved all passengers and private cars left from crossings cancelled because of the strike. About 200 cars and their passengers had no bookings. Several hundred freight waggons are still waiting at Wellington and Picton.
