Medical centre application
An application for a temiporary medical centre for | the Parklands-Queenspark |area was made to the Waimairi County Council town I planning committee yesterday morning. The committee (reserved its decision. I There were no objections to the application, said Mr G. T. Mould, solicitor for the joint applicants, Dr J. A. Lyftogt and Smith Developments, Ltd. The need for immediate establishment of a medical centre in the area was accepted by the council and ’was the prime concern of Ithe area’s almost 3000 residents. The local residents associations had been seeking the service for the last two years, he said. Dr Lyftogt hoped to begin practice by the end of March, providing a 24-hour; service.
