Garage to carry on
Greymouth reporter Temporary premises are being arranged for Reefton Motors, Ltd, to enable it to continue the repairs side of its business after fire destroyed its garage at Reefton on Saturday. The premises would serve until the company could rebuild on the site, said a principal of the firm, Mr C. E. Heaphy. Saturday’s fire caused damage of about $200,000. While the premises were insured, this is unlikely to meet the cost of replacing the building. The office section and the petrol pumps escaped the fire.
