Abortions in Australia
Sir, — Joyce Evenden’s answer to my comment on an estimated loss of 7800 lives yearly through abortion is typical of the “final solution” mentality of the pro-abortion movement. This movement, with, its hysterical incantations and misrepresentations, has influenced women to seek abortions and endeavoured to persuade the general public who are mostly ignorant of the meaning of the new legislation, into believing it to be repressive, inhumane, and unworkable. In fact, the new law gives some small protection to the unborn child and should be welcomed for this reason by those who reject the alternative of abortion on demand. — Yours, etc. LILLIAN CARR.
