Junior skater impresses
PA Auckland The junior, Keith Alexander (Papatoetoe), and the Auckland couple. Murray Fergusson and Janey Ballerini, were in a class above the other competitors when the New Zealand roller skating championships continued last evening in the Auckland University recreation centre.
Alexander won both the national junior free skating and singles finals with a talented performance which earned him points tallies substantially in excess of the runner-up. Paul Thatcher (Napier). Fergusson and Ballerini gave an exceptionally polished performance which was not surprising considering they were placed thirteenth in the world championships in the dance.
