DRIVERS FINED
C. C Devine was fined $2O for failing' to notify drivers for horses in both legs of the T.A.B. double at Addington Raceway on Saturday. Fines of $lO were imposed for the same offence in one leg of the double on D. G. Rickerbv, J. W. Dalgety, A. E. Berry, R. J. Brosnan. J. A. Carmichael. N. Edge and R. W. Curtin. J G. McDonald was fined $25 for using unauthorised gear on Happy Dav in the Raceway Handicap.
D J. Townley, the driver of Sandee. and P. N. Jones, the driver of Beat The Gun in the same race, were questioned about the manner in which they were driving their horses with about 1400 m to run. Both were warned that action would be taken if there was a repetition of their tactics.
An accident in the Cross Stakes was found to have been caused by Wily Yank, which was pacing roughly and hanging in badlv. Wily Yank fell and interfered badlv with Columnist and Harley.
