Two finals — both mixed doubles — .were decided at the Canterbury secondary school tennis championships at Wilding Park yesterday. In the open mixed doubles final Douglas Chapman and Nick! Robinson combined well to beat David Lawn and Carolyn Oakley, 6-2, 6-3. The net play of the winning pair was particularly good. Brett Skjellerup and Anne Hughey won the third form mixed' doubles against Craig Dickson and Julianne Taylor, 9-7. Skjellerup and Miss Taylor are also finalists in the respective singles to be played today. Andrea Miller and Sally Hughey will meet in the girls" under 16 singles final today, while In the open boys’ and girls’ singles two of the semi-finalists were decided yesterday. Lyn Cowie and Miss Oakley have reached the last four in the girls’ competition, while the top seeds, Chapman and Rhett Mason, are through in the boys’ event. Results of yesterday’s matches.— OPEN Mixed doubles Semi-finals: D. Chapman and N. Robinson beat R. Mason and L. Cowie, 7-5, 6-1; D, Lawn and C. Oakley beat S. Chambers and C.Burke. 6-4, 2-6, 6-2. Final: Chapman and Robinson beat Lawn and Oakley, 6-2, 6-3. Boys' doubles Semi-final: R. Dalman and R. Mason beat A. Sullivan and T. Brosnahan, 6-0, 6-1. UNDER 14 Boys' doubles Semi-final: A.
