Reidrubber walk-out
PA Auckland Four hundred and fifty rubber workers and drivers at the Feltex Reidrubber plant in Penrose have stopped work in protest of suspension! notices handed to 80 em-l plovees on Monday night, ; The drivers came out in' support of the rubber; workers, who are picketing! the plant in Great South; Road. Members of the Storemen 1 and Packers’ Union have not; joined the stopwork, but the. Rubber Workers’ Union sec-1 retary (Mr Jim Thompson)! said the picket line would! prevent any movements in or out of the plant.
