‘Two handles’ and 235mg
Nelson reporter A man who had spent seven of the last 10 years disqualified from driving was remanded for a week for a probation report and sentence, when he appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Nelson yesterday.
James Wilson, aged 63, a I fish cutter, admitted a [charge of driving with an excess alcohol-blood count. Traffic Officer C. Booth told Mr K. H. J. Headifen, iS.M., that when the defend[ant was stopped he told the traffic officer he had drunk I two handles of beer. Howlever, his blood sample showed |23smg of alcohol per 100 ml [of blood. , In the last 10 years, the defendant had been dis-, [qualified from driving for I seven years for the same [offence, said Mr Booth.
