Research grant
A grant of $18,400 from the Medical Research Council has been made to Dr C. M. Andre, of the department of clinical biochemistry at the Christchurch Hospital. The grant will be used on a two-year research project to isolate certain proteins in the blood involved in cell reproduction and growth.
The study will contribute towards the understanding of the mechanisms involved in malignant tumour growth.
