PA Invercargill. Folllmento. one of the rising »tars in the south, was credited with his third successive win when he unwound a brilliant late run to win the Christmas Flying Mile, the main event and first leg of the T.A.B. double on the opening night of the Invercargill Twilight Christmas meeting yesterday. A quality four-year-old by the successful Canterburybased stallion. Honest Master, he was standing the leaders up several lengths at the straight entrance. Robstar, which dashed to the lead at the -500 m looked all over a winner, but Folllmento. which was behind him several lengths on the turn swept up to him with ease and won going away by a length and a quarter. Robstar, which enjoyed a splendid run all the way, saved second by a head from Rodrigez another which had a good run all the way. Tutatut, well out of his ground early, ran on powerfully for fourth half a neck aw ay. The Central Otago visitor Tetarney, driven w’ith marked enterprise bv the Ashburton reinsrnan. Robert Cameron, led over the last 600 m of the Vice President's Handicap, second leg of the T A B. double. He completed ♦lie double with the first leg winner Folllmento. Tetarnev dashed around the field to settle on the outside of the pacemaker Dark Trouble at the 1200 m. He dashed to the front at the 600 m and never looked like letting his rivals in. He was untroubled to win by a length and a quarter from Trevira. whose stormy late finish was a feature of the race. He flashed home when in the clear, but Tetarney had established an unassailable lead by that stage. Charlie Wood was another to finish well for third, a length and a half away. T.A.B.
