Novel treble
Special Correspondent Wanganui A novel treble will be organised on course by the Wanganui Jockey Club at its restricted meeting on Wednesday December 21. The first two legs will involve the respective divisions of race two and the third leg will be held on race three. The actual events involved will not be known until acceptances take place on Thursday. To date the Wanganui
Jockey Club has not offered a treble to on course bettors. The reason was that the money was held in the trebles’ pool for too long during the programme and did not circulate. Under the new scheme the treble will be over in consecutive races. Investors will be asked to purchase the tickets for the first two legs prior to the second event and if successful exchange their tickets at specially designated selling windows before race three.
