Lancaster Park repairs

Sir, — As a regular patron to No. 4 stand at Lancaster Park, I would like to ask the Board of Control when they propose to repair the netting in the ceiling. Most of the seats now have bird droppings on them and further droppings are falling frequently during the day. This situation was evident last season but it is a little too much to bear at the moment. In the interests of the public this matter should be put right. — Yours, etc., D. J. REID. December 6, 1977. (This letter was printed yesterday, when the following comment from the secretary of the Victory Park Board (Mr K. N. McGillivray) was inadvertently omitted: “The board thanks the correspondent for drawing attention to this matter, which will be rectified as soon as possible.”)
