Top cricket teams
The highlight of the second round of the A.N.Z. Bank knock-out cricket competition tomorrow will be the clash between the two finalists in last season’s contest, Bumside-West University and St Albans. In the last season’s final, the St Albans batsmen failed miserably but with Geoff Smith having returned this year, the Bumside bowlers may not have such an easy task.
The match will be played at Burnside Park. Only one match will be played at Hagley Oval, between Riccarton and High School Old Boys, on the No. 3 pitch. The winners of "The Press” pennant in the senior competition last season, Sydenham, will play EastShirley at Burwood Oval and Lancaster Park will travel to Rangiora to play North Canterbury.
