NEW COMPANY POSITIONS OUR COMPANY who is a subsidiary’ of a very large organisation within New Zealand and who specialises in the distribution throughout New Zealand of forestry products and industrial bearings, is about to establish a branch in Christchurch, to commence operation early February, 1978, to handle our growing business and existing franchise clientele in the South Island, are looking for suitable persons to fill the following two positions: BRANCH MANAGER The man we are seeking will be completely responsible to establish this South Island operation. Experience in marketing and sales organisation will be required together with a knowledge of bearings and chainsaws, and at the very least a good mechanical understanding. The person will be required to furnish monthly reports to Auckland’s head office, covering the total branch operation and will also be responsible for budget and sales forecasts and branch stock holdings and have the ability to control and organise a sales team and Branch personnel. We would envisage that the applicant be in his early 30s. This position wil] be regarded as top management within the organisation and excellent commencing salary will be negotiated at interview. Further incentives will be company car, expenses and superannuation scheme after a qualifying period. Commencing date would be December, subject to negotiation.
