Printers get rise
Partial agreement has been reached between the Printing Trades’ Union and employers in the commercial printing industry for a new' collective agreement. The secretary of the Canterbury branch of the union (Mr N. W. Harris) said that one or two unresolved matters had been referred to the Industrial Commission for decision. The agreement was concluded on similar lines to the | packaging award, which provided for a 7.5 per cent to 17.8 per cent wage increase. ; i The new rate will apply ■from 'November 24.
