Bertrand keeps Laser title
NZPA-Reuter Cabo Frio, Brazil Peter Griffiths made the best showing of the three New Zealanders in the world Laser class yachting championship, which ended yesterday. Griffiths was listed in thirtieth place with a total of 197 points lost in his best six out of the seven races.
Paul Meo was fifty-fourth with 271 points and David Stringer fifty-seventh with 287 points. A total of 104 men from 24 countries took part in the championship, which, was won by John Bertrand, of the United States, for the second year running.
