Starlifter returns
A United States Air Force Starlifter aircraft was forced to shut down one engine and return to Christchurch while on a supply flight to McMurdo Station, Antarctica, on Saturday. The aircraft was 200 miles south of Christchurch when a fault was found in the engine.
Emergency services were put on standby but the aircraft landed safely at 8 p.m.
