A party of the middle
The police were called to a twenty-first birthday party yesterda" — because it was causing a traffic hazard.
Five members of a party, which began on Saturday evening, were sitting at a table placed neatly in the middle of Warrington Street, St Albans. Cars were forced to manoeuvre round the table while the five drank beer from a keg in the late afternoon sun — until the police were called at 7 p.m. The party then continued on the front lawn of a nearby property.
