Under 23 team
The Canterbury under-23 cricket team to play in the Rothmans national tournament at Dunedin from November 27 to December 2 was named by the selectors (Messrs K. Ferries, A. McKendry and G. T. Allen) last evening. The team was named after a match between an under--23 side and the Canterbury team to play in the Gillette Cup knock-out match against Otago next Saturday
was washed out yesterday afternoon. The under-23 team is:
Mark Johnstone (captain), A. Nuttall (Lancaster Park); D. Bull (High School Old Boys); W. Eddington (vicecaptain), H. King (South Canterbury); G. Carnoutsos (Sydenham); T. Murdoch (Riccarton); V. Brown (Christ’s College); G. Gordon (Old Collegians); J. Boyle, S. Bateman (Burnside-West-University); L. Watson (St Albans).
