FINANCE OFFICER THIS IS a newly-created position within the Finance Section of the Council’s Treasury Department. The appointee will be responsible through the Financial Accountant for the raising of funds for capital works by way of authorised loans, for the investment of’Council funds in approved securities, and the day-to-day administration and management of the Council’s loans, special and subsidy funds. The Finance Section is responsible through the Financial Accountant to the City Treasurer for the provision of accounting information and the production of annual accounts and statistics. This position would suit a person who has had some years experience in financial management, possibly, though not necessarily with a local Authority. Salary will be in accordance with the Council's Officers’ Collective Agreement and based on applicant’s qualifications and experience.
